The QA Automation Engineer will work both independently and with internal stake holders for a broad range of tasks on complex projects. The individual will apply their knowledge of business process analysis, quality assurance, documentation, and release management to develop and implement product and service features in eCommerce applications from inception to delivery.
•Knowledge of and ability to use processes, tools, and techniques for testing the performance of technology products, systems, and components to provide assurance that quality expectations and business requirements are met.
•Ensures quality in technology products, systems, software, and applications.
•Establish or improve the quality assurance approach within projects.
•Writes and manages functional test cases, end to end test cases, and regression test cases.
•Evaluate the application and test cases to be automated. Work with team to write automation test scripts and create a library of automated tests to maximize test coverage.
•Conducts functional, regression, and end to end testing on aspects of assigned software products.
•Tests software components for compliance with functional requirements and design specifications.
•Create and keep track of the quality assurance metrics for continuous quality & process improvements.
•Builds relationships with clients, acting as the primary point-of-contact for QA and UAT phases of projects.
•Be able to work effectively in a team setting – take direction, proactively seek out information and build productive working relationships onsite as well as remote.
•Report to stakeholders and senior IT leaders throughout the project lifecycle.
•Combine your technical ability, strategic thinking, and detail-oriented execution in a fast-paced, dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.
•Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, or related discipline.
•Five (5) to Eight (8) years as Quality Assurance Engineer/Senior Quality Assurance Analyst.
• Experience modifying and setting up automated testing pipelines and/or frameworks.
•Own and drive systems integration testing and support user acceptance testing. Create and maintain test strategy, test plans, scripts, and data, in collaboration with the business. partners, for validating system design, configuration, integration and performance.
•Developing CI/CD, and CT pipelines – Experience in hosting test tools (JMeter) and services, configuring jobs/pipelines with CI/CD tools like GitHub, Jenkins, creating optimized test suites and configure tests to report in meaningful ways.
•Understanding of various testing methodologies and experience in performing performance, functional, automation, white box, load, and regression testing.
•Strong verbal and written communications skills - Ability to work with both technical and non-technical team members.
•Experience in supporting CRM and/or CMS applications is a plus.
•Experience in an Agile/Scrum environment a plus. Specifically with QA methodologies and best practices.
